I suppose you could say that this is my first summer of freedom. I'm still living under my parent's roof, and there are rules that go with that. But I'm not tied down. I have no SAT prep, no camps to go to. While I do have an internship at my dad's company, I still have an abundance of time on my hand. Time that I want to use productively.
I've started by organizing my room. Sure, my floor looks like a tornado. But my dressers are clean, along with my desk, book shelves, bureau, vanity, and of course - closet. It took me a while, a few days to be exact, but I no longer have clothing that doesn't fit (at my dad's house anyway)!
Along with my room project, I've also taken initiative to organize my finances. It's quite interesting to see how many times I go to Chipotle and Starbucks. Nomnomnom. Anyway, now that I'll my organizing is done I have more creative projects ahead of me. For one, I've started writing and developing a plot-line for a story along with a friend. I doubt it will ever get finished, but it is an exciting prospect to say the least. I also have countless scrapbooking projects that I want to start, I better get cracking on those (if I can only find those pictures)!
I guess my summer is looking up. I also have orientation, and two leadership summits to look forward to in late July. College here I come! Woohoo!
